Vallier Montreal

Vallier is a casual eatery on the western edge of old Montreal with a no frills menu. A variety of burgers dominate the relatively small selection of mains along with reinvented classics like Macaroni and Cheese with bacon cubes and Shepard’s Pie with duck confit. Our party ordered burgers across the board along with a variety of local beers and the restaurants signature French Canadian classic Pudding Chômeur.
The four types of burgers offered are:
AAA Beef with added cheddar, gruyère or goat’s cheese
Portobello mushroom burger with goat’s cheese and tomato confit
Grilled fresh Cod B.L.T. and Grain fed poultry burger marinated in herbs, aioli, avocado and arugula
The burgers were simple and light on condiments – no complaints there. Salad was again lightly dressed but fresh and appreciated. The fries were lightly salted and served in a tin can along with optional mayo or ketchup.
Our entire party ordered a portion of the restaurant’s signature Pudding Chômeur which was served upside down in a light cream and topped with fresh blueberries.
