Manic Coffee Toronto

Manic Coffee Toronto is your favorite coffee shop. It feels both familiar and impervious to the busy outside world of Toronto’s west end. Stickers that say
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot
decorate the espresso machine and the emblematic Chicago based Intelligentsia Coffee logo is drawn in chalk across a brick wall. I was lucky enough to be staying right around the corner from Manic Coffee on my last most recent stay in Toronto. I also walked away with a bag of Intelligentsia Coffee, Black Cat Espresso and BC roaster’s Bows and Arrows. I found myself making excuses to come back for one last americano before I left for the train station.
They also serve a variety of gelato which it was unfortunately too cold out for me try on this trip. There is a lot of emphasis put on the direct trade beans from Intelligentsia. They receive freshly roasted beans a few times a week and take the craft seriously. The real deal my friends.
The coffee is fantastic – they have drip coffee but a great majority of the clientele come for some variation on espresso. There is food as well and great places to sit and work or chat. Manic Coffee is exactly what you want in a neighborhood independent coffee shop.
