La Panthère Verte Montreal

Posted By Jennifer Ho May 26 2011 · 0 comments · Dining Out, Downtown

Falafel

Close to Concordia University, La Panthère Verte offers fresh and organic food, a healthy alternative to the multitude of fast food restaurants close by. Firmly entrenched in promoting a green lifestyle, the Panthère not only supports locally grown produce but also offers the city’s first ever organic meals-on-(bike)wheels service.

I ordered the falafel and the salad combo (mix of quinoa, alfalfa sprouts, sweet potatoes, sauerkraut and arugula) for lunch – it was deceptively small but by the time I finished, I was more than satisfied. The place features a shoeless seating area with a nice view by the window – clients are invited to sit on an elevated wooden platform across from one another with the added comfort of pillows. The little terrace out front is an added bonus. Vegan or not, La Panthère’s healthy selection of eats are too good to pass up!
